Starter kits for several electronics development platforms are available for use in the Makerspace@KSL. Both the Arduino and Raspberry Pi kits can also be checked out for 3 days.

Arduino SparkFun Inventor’s Kit
The Arduino is a an open-source electronics platform. It can be attached to sensors, motors, and other components to make interactive projects.

Raspberry Pi Starter Kit
The Raspbery Pi is a credit card-sized computer that runs a variety of the Linux operating system. Learn to program in Python, set up a web server, or create your own media server!

Makey Makey
Makey Makey shows you how to create simple circuits using your hands and many other everyday objects.

Little Bits Deluxe Kit
LittleBits lets you create circuits using these magnetic pieces which interlock to make sound, move, and light up. With many parts and combinations, you can create all sorts of projects

Hakko-FX888D Soldering Iron
You will need to sign a liability waiver and view training videos before using the soldering station. See Soldering Training below for more information.
Soldering Training
Brief training is required before using the soldering station for the first time. Training can be conducted in advance by reviewing the following materials online:
- Read the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Watch this training video.
When you come to the Makerspace, you’ll also need to sign a liability waiver.
