Kenan Science: About Kenan Science Library

The Kenan Science Library in located on the ground floor of Venable Hall, G301. It serves as the center for information services in the natural and mathematical sciences and one of three Research Hubs. Core print materials for the sciences are located in Davis Library and are accessible during all hours of operation or by delivery through the Carolina BLU delivery service. Additional print science materials are stored remotely and are also available through Carolina BLU.

The Kenan Science Library has reservable spaces: four group study rooms with monitors. It also houses a design and modelling center and a Makerspace, offering services and workshops in 3D printing, 3D scanning, electronics, virtual reality, sewing and more.

The science librarians have offices in this library and are available for consultations, instruction, and customized services for the science faculty and staff. The librarians will also work with university researchers to develop strategies for the preservation of and access to research data.
