Kenan Science: About Kenan Science Library

The library is comprised of two facilities:  the Kenan Science Library in G301 Venable Hall, which serves as the center for information services in the natural and mathematical sciences, and the Science Library Annex in Wilson Library, which houses print collections in the sciences.

The Kenan Science Library has reservable spaces: four group study rooms, two co-working spaces, and a “huddle” brainstorming space. It also houses a design and modelling center and a Makerspace, offering services in 3D printing, 3D scanning, electronics, sewing and more. The science librarians have offices in this library and are available for consultations, instruction, and customized services for the departments with which they work. The science librarians will work with university researchers in the sciences to develop strategies for the preservation of and access to research data.

The Science Library Annex houses a print collection of more than 250,000 volumes in the natural and mathematical sciences. Questions about access to the Annex should be directed to Davis Library Circulation: 919-962-1053 or
