Against the backdrop of the 2016 election, this exhibition focused on all 44 former presidents. Books, artifacts, images, and official and private papers from within the Wilson Library’s special collections revealed the variety of roles played by presidents. Political memorabilia showed how campaign materials changed over time. Every man who has held the office was represented – from Nixon’s infamous “enemies list” through to an invitation to “Laugh with Taft”.
