Nominate Library Employees for Annual Awards

Nominations are open!

Do you know a University Libraries employee who has gone above and beyond? Helped you solve a challenging problem? Provided excellent customer service? 

Make sure they get the recognition they deserve! 

Each year, the University Libraries recognizes employees who have made an impact through its Annual Employee Awards program. Beginning in 2023, anyone in the Carolina community can submit a nomination! 

The deadline for all nominations is November 10, 2023.

There are two types of awards 

Annual Excellence Awards recognize outstanding efforts or contributions in one or more of the following areas: 

  • Customer Service 
  • Inclusive Excellence 
  • Innovation and Problem Solving 
  • Leadership 
  • One Library 

The University Librarian’s Award for Meritorious Service, the Library’s highest honor, either or both: 

  • A sustained level of transformative excellence over time. 
  • Especially meritorious service in the face of an exceptionally challenging situation, a crisis, or an emergency.
