Narratives of Queer Identity

December 21, 2021

This exhibition highlights LGBT+ experiences, from well-known novels to small-press serials. The materials shown here from the Rare Book Collection in the Wilson Special Collections Library reflect the global queer community’s use of pen and print as indispensable weapons in the fight for equity, respect, and expression. It is impossible to truly understand the story of print media without seeing how marginalized communities have shaped its use through centuries of subversion.

“Narratives of Queer Identity” will be on view in the second (main) floor hallway of the Wilson Special Collections Library through January 21, 2022. It is free and open to the public. It is also available online as a digital exhibition.
