Drop Everything and Read

April 20, 2-4 p.m.
Outside Wilson Library

Spend time reading in the sun with the University Library during National Library Week! We’ll be camped in front of Wilson Library, with books, stickers and snacks to fuel your quiet, outdoor reading time. Bring your own chair or blanket.

Say “Hi” outside Davis Library

Library Ambassadors will be tabling in front of Davis Librar. Stop by for snacks, swag, trivia and more.

Screening of “The Librarians”

Catch a special National Library Week 2026 screening of the documentary “The Librarians.” The award-winning film documents efforts by librarians in Texas, Florida and other states as they defend the freedom to read.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event starting promptly at 7 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Visit libraries for vintage buttons and special edition stickers!

When you visit Carolina’s libraries during National Library Week, you can pick up a vintage library button.

If you visit Davis Library, Wilson Library, or the Undergraduate Library, you can also grab a special edition holographic library sticker — these are only available during National Library Week (while supplies last).
