Charlie Scott and the Integration of Varsity Sports at Carolina

In 1967, Charles Scott became the first black varsity basketball player at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and its first black scholarship athlete. This exhibition explored Scott’s legendary career in the context of the racial integration of the University and the Civil Rights movement in Chapel Hill.
