An Alphabet of Treasures: Special Collections from A to Z

January 26, 2015 - April 20, 2015

An exhibition of highlights from six of the University Library’s special collections showcasing treasures related to early university history, famous writers and scientists, political movements, and stars of popular culture. From A is for activism to Z is for zombies, the exhibition included a wealth of objects, manuscripts, photos, maps, and books organized into themes for each letter of the alphabet. Exhibits ranged from a copy of Mao Zedong’s Little Red Book to a first edition of Darwin’s On the Origin of Species, from Dolly Parton’s first recording to Thomas Wolfe’s school composition books.
