Temporary Purchasing Specialist, Library Fiscal Services
Hiring Rate: $15.50
Work Hours/Week: 40

Description of Work
Responsibilities of this temporary position include: purchasing goods, services, and paying invoices for library operations, providing assistance and information related to purchases for completion of the monthly reconciliation process for all operating funding sources, scanning and keying data into ConnectCarolina. The person in this position will work with other departments and library staff to complete special projects as assigned and will assist with assembly and deliveries as needed.
Additional duties include but are not limited to tasks that help maintain the workflow and keep the office operating efficiently and effectively.
Education and Experience
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; or Associate’s degree and two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Essential Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to work independently and in a team setting; the ability to communicate effectively in written format and orally; must have demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
Preferred Skills and Abilities: A working knowledge of Excel and word processing applications; working knowledge of Peoplesoft and Infoporte.
Special Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to move items weighing at least 50lbs
