Beginning July 13, 2020, you can obtain books and other materials from the University Libraries through our contactless pickup service.
- Step 1: Find the item in the online catalog and use the “Request” button to ask us to retrieve it for you.
- Step 2: When your request is ready, you will receive an email from the Library. Follow the instructions to select a pickup time and location. Please do not come pick up your request until you have received the confirmation email.
Who can use the pickup service?
Anyone with an ONYEN or a current borrower’s card may use the pickup service. You will need your OneCard or other proof of identification when you pick up your items.
What items are available for pickup?
Many items from Davis Library, the Undergraduate Library, the Health Sciences Library, the Art Library, the Information and Library Science Library, the Kenan Science Library, the Music Library and the Stone Center Library can be picked up through this service. Please note that some library items do not circulate, and some items may not be available. We will notify you if your request cannot be filled.
Where can I pick up my books?
We will hold your books at the service desk in Davis Library or the Health Sciences Library, according to your instructions.

Can I return books at the same time I am picking up items?
We ask that you do not return books through the pickup service. However, book drops are located near the exit of Davis Library, near the ATMs off of Raleigh Street, and either entrance of the Health Sciences Library for your convenience.
