Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with the University Libraries

Latinx Heritage Month is September 15 through October 15. During this time, the Carolina community honors Latinx American’s contributions to our history, culture and accomplishments. 

This year, the University Libraries is sharing collections featuring Latinx stories and taking part in celebrations across campus. 

Latinx History at UNC-Chapel Hill 

Want to learn more about the history of Latinx students, faculty and staff at Carolina? The team at Wilson Special Collections Library has drawn on the University Archives to create a timeline of key events. 

Latinx Filmography Collection 

The Media and Design Center has curated a list of  more than 30 films by Latinx creators and/or featuring Latinx characters. Check out a DVD or stream films online from the comfort of home.  

E-books and Audiobooks on OverDrive 

With OverDrive, you can access of e-books and audiobooks from anywhere using your own devices. The Libraries’ OverDrive team has curated two collections for Latinx Heritage Month: Latinx Authors & Stories and Latinx Sci-Fi & Fantasy. Check them out now!
