Congratulations to our graduating Library student employees!

May 8, 2023

As the Carolina community comes together to celebrate the Class of 2023, the University Libraries would like to recognize the outstanding student employees graduating this May.

Undergraduate and graduate student employees play many essential roles at the University Libraries. Their work includes fixing damaged books and scanning articles to fulfill patrons’ requests. They consult on data projects, answer questions at the service desks and everything in between. In countless ways that often go unnoticed, our student employees ensure the University Libraries operates at its best.

Some of our graduating student employees worked at the University Libraries during the pandemic. Their hard work and adaptability allowed Carolina’s libraries to continue serving our community even during unprecedented circumstances.

Thank you and congratulations to all of our graduates. Whether you have worked with us for one semester or for four years, your efforts have helped make the University Libraries what it is. No matter where your next chapter takes you, the University Libraries will always be excited to welcome you back.

Two student employees, Rolando Rodriguez (M.S. in Library and Information Science) and Zuzelle Ramos (B.A. in Political Science), were on the search committee for the vice provost for University libraries and University librarian. The University Libraries would like to offer them a special thanks for their extraordinary service.
