Jack Ahern
The University Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Ahern as director of annual giving effective February 20, 2023.
In this new role reporting to the executive director of Library development, Ahern will lead the Library’s annual giving efforts. He will also develop new strategies to strengthen relationships with donors, staff and volunteers through the Friends of the Libraries program. Ahern will play a key role in establishing major fundraising initiatives around the Libraries’ upcoming Centennial celebration.
Ahern comes to the University Libraries from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law, where he was associate director of development. He previously worked in outreach and volunteer management at the UNC General Alumni Association.
Ahern earned his Master of Public Administration at North Carolina State University and B.A.s in political science and history from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
