María Estorino selected as UCLA Senior Fellow

portrait of Maria EstorinoMaría Estorino, interim vice provost for University libraries and University librarian, has been selected as a 2022 UCLA Library Senior Fellow. 

The prestigious UCLA Senior Fellows program is the longest-running leadership development program in the library profession. Fellows attend a three-week program of lectures, panels and workshops that combine management perspectives and tools for strategic thinking with practical and theoretical approaches to issues confronting academic libraries.  

The 2022 cohort of Senior Fellows brings together 20 leaders from academic libraries across the country. Past fellows have gone on to serve as library directors at more than 50 Association of Research Libraries institutions. 

Estorino was named interim vice provost for University libraries at Carolina effective May 16, 2022. She has been associate University librarian for special collections and director of the Louis Round Wilson Special Collections Library since 2017.
