University Libraries wins Arlies video award for second consecutive year

May 3, 2022

For the second year in a row, a University Libraries video has been honored at the annual film festival of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). The festival highlights videos created by or for member libraries. Library directors attending ARL’s spring meeting selected the “Arlies” winners.

This year, the video “Elaine pitches Andrew Give UNC for University Libraries” received two Arlies: one for Best Development/Fundraising Film and  another for Best Humor.

In the video, Vice Provost for University Libraries Elaine Westbrooks and major-league pitcher (and Carolina alum) Andrew Miller toss around reasons to support UNC-Chapel Hill’s libraries for GiveUNC, the University’s annual day of giving.

The award-winning video is the work of Jeyhoun Allebaugh and University Development and Marketing. Learn more about the Arlies and view all Arlies entries on the ARL Film Festival 2022 page.

If you’re inspired by Elaine and Andrew’s pitch, you can give to the University Libraries at any time. Learn how your support can make an impact.
