Carrie Baldwin-SoRelle is health sciences librarian and liaison to the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, University Libraries, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, effective January 10, 2022.

The University Libraries is pleased to welcome Carrie Baldwin-SoRelle as health sciences librarian and liaison to the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, effective January 10.

In this role, Carrie will be the primary contact at the Health Sciences Library for students, faculty, staff and administrators at Gillings. She will support research activities at the school, provide instruction and conduct in-depth consultations and expert literature searches. She will also participate in program planning and accreditation processes and will promote the use of evidence-based practice tools and services for healthcare.

Carrie comes to Carolina from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she served as social sciences and scholarly communications librarian. She has completed archival internships at the Cornell University Law Library in Ithaca, New York, and the Smith College Library in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Carrie holds an M.S. in library and information science from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Her A.B. in religion and Spanish is from Smith College.
