Washington Post access comes to Carolina

January 25, 2021

The University Libraries now offers an electronic subscription to The Washington Post for UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty and staff.

A generous allocation from the Student Library Advisory Board will make WashingtonPost.com available to Tar Heels for the next five years. The subscription provides current access along with 15 years of archival content on a rolling basis.

To read The Washington Post, visit https://www.washingtonpost.com/regional/ on your computer or mobile device. If you are off campus, you will need to log in with your Onyen and password. You can learn more about Washington Post access by visiting the Library’s online guide.

The Student Library Advisory Board provides input to Library staff and directs use of the Student Endowed Library Fund. In addition to making WashingtonPost.com available, SLAB recently funded campus access to OverDrive, a platform for e-books and audiobooks.

Students seeking additional access to even more current news may also sign up for the University Library’s New York Times Academic Pass, a special Times offering uniquely for undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

For questions about these subscriptions or to receive notifications of special subscriber events from The Washington Post, contact Suchi Mohanty, head of the R.B. House Undergraduate Library, at smohanty@unc.edu.
