Uses of Books: Early Modern Readers Revealed

Wilson Library, Melba Remig Saltarelli Gallery

Books lead diverse lives, shaped by the people who own and use them.  From the thoughtful notes of a scholar to the playful doodles of a lay reader, our modifications to books reflect the ways we interact with them. This exhibition presents a sample of books that have preserved remnants of their readers’ thoughts, ideas, and creative energies.
