Student Assistant, Davis Docs/Microforms

The Student Assistant will be cross-trained to work with both the Federal Documents and Microforms Collections.  Duties will include:

a) sorting, recording statistics, stamping, bar coding, shelving, and shifting a variety of formats such as print, microforms, maps, CDs and DVDs

b) helping patrons find and use microform materials and equipment

c) scanning articles from fiche, film and selected print

d) special projects as assigned

The successful candidates will be: dependable, flexible, detail oriented, able to work alone or with others, comfortable with basic computer software, able to write legibly, able to follow oral and written instructions. A sense of humor is a plus!

Please note: Working hours include rotating weekend shifts, as well as occasional evening hours Monday through Thursday.  The current position includes hours between 9am to 8pm.  If your availability does not meet at least part of these hours, please do not apply at this time.

This position will be for the fall semester with the possibility of continuing into the spring.
