The Research Hub helped students in an American Studies class develop an interactive timeline that documents historical figures and events in Jewish American women’s history.
Students in AMST 253 – “Mamas and Matriarchs: A Social History of Jewish Women in America” needed a way to build a timeline that would document historical figures and events in Jewish American women’s history. The Research Hub’s Digital Scholarship Librarian helped create a website and online form that would allow them to upload text and images. He also assisted the instructor with Timeline JS, a tool that allows the creation of interactive timelines. At the end of the class, students had contributed to an online timeline spanning over 100 years.
