Systematic Reviews, Part 1: Laying the Foundation

March 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

This 90-minute session leads you through the foundational aspects of conducting a systematic review. We’ll first give a brief background and history of a systematic review and consider why you might want to conduct one. As we continue, we’ll outline the steps of conducting a systematic review and talk about some of the methods and processes involved, such as:

-creating and refining a topic

-developing a protocol

-selecting and searching databases

-managing your results

-sifting and selecting studies

We’ll discuss various decision points within these steps to ensure the beginnings of a well-conducted review.
