Systematic Reviews, Part 1: Laying the Foundation

This 90-minute session leads you through the foundational aspects of conducting a systematic review. We’ll first give a brief background and history of a systematic review and consider why you might want to conduct one. As we continue, we’ll outline the steps of conducting a systematic review and talk about some of the methods and processes involved, such as:
-creating and refining a topic
-developing a protocol
-selecting and searching databases
-managing your results
-sifting and selecting studies
We’ll discuss various decision points within these steps to ensure the beginnings of a well-conducted review.
