Move to HTTPS on Library Websites Will Keep Your Searches Safe

May 18, 2018

https in browser

The University Libraries websites will transition from HTTP to HTTPS protocols beginning Tuesday, May 22. Our goal is to keep your activities on Library websites safe and secure.

HTTPS is an internet protocol that encrypts communications between browsers and web servers. It protects your privacy and the integrity of our websites. You will know that you are visiting a secure HTTPS site because there will be a lock icon in the URL window of your browser or the URL will begin with https://.

While we make this transition, some pages or elements of pages may not load or perform properly. If you encounter any problems using the Library website, please do the following:

  1. Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser’s cache.
  2. If you still encounter difficulties, please message us or report the problem at any campus library.

Thank you for your patience as we make this important improvement.
